Trichology Clinic
Trichology is the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair and scalp. Teresa PHD AIT is a board-certified member of the Institute of Trichologists and is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp problems. As a fully qualified Consultant Trichologist, Teresa is bound by the Code of Ethics published by the Institute of Trichologists and practices in a professional manner, ensuring all client information remains confidential.

Diagnosis can include male and female hair loss, scalp concerns such as psoriasis and eczema, hair breakage, thinning of the hair, auto-immune deficiencies and encouraging hair growth.

The Trichology Clinic is situated on the first floor and has a separate treatment and consultation room to our hairdressing salon. We understand that you might be feeling anxious about your visit but we will ensure you have a professional experience.
You might feel that your hair loss has impacted your confidence or day to day life. Not only are we here to ensure we can help with diagnosis and treatment, but we also work closely with other professionals who are based in Plymouth. We will work with you to improve your mindset and together. We’ll be able to help you on this journey and turn your negative experience into something much more positive by helping to change your thought process as well as your hair!

We believe in an all round service. Teresa is qualified to prescribe prescription shampoo that is made on-site at our clinic. These shampoos are only able to be purchased after a consultation and can be bought in the salon or online under our Trichology Shop.

In addition to diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp concerns, our Consultant Trichologist is also qualified in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
The consultation and treatment room is completely private and confidential. Please note, our Trichology Clinic is situated upstairs so please do let us know if you will struggle to access this and we will endeavour to accommodate your requirements.
